New art journal series using Gorjuss girl stamps

New art journal series using Gorjuss girls

Hi everyone, today is the start of a new art journal series. I just recently bought a few more of the Santoro Gorjuss Girl Mini stamps and was trying to figure out what I want to do with them. At the end, there are 60 of them… so I decided to create a small art journal made out of left over paper and some of the sample paper packs that I got during a sale at my art supply store. 30 pages, all 4×6 and kept together with some ring binders. I don’t really have a plan besides filling this …

Imagine the possibilities with Visible Image

Imagine the possibilities with Visible Image

Hi everyone and welcome to a new blog post for Visible Image. This time I’m sharing a bright and grungy little canvas with you. I used the ink splats stamp for the background and the Imagine, Dream, Inspire for my focal point. Everything in between is some messy fun with smearing around Dylusions paints 😉 You can follow my steps by watching my quick video tutorial here: Super easy, don’t you think? It’s definitely a lot of fun to create those smaller canvases and they are perfect for a little decoration, for example in your bookshelf. Thanks for stopping by! …

Yummy texture with Emerald Creek Baked Texture, Distress Oxide and monoprinting

Hi everyone, I had a lot of fun playing with the new Distress Oxide colors and the ranger Gel Plates. I experimented with the Oxides and how they act for mono printing. In addition, I finally played with the new Baked Texture embossing powders from Emerald Creek and Seth Apter again to create some yummy texture on my tags. You can see all the details in my video, how the ink behaves, how gorgeous the Baked Textures are and most of all, how much fun everyone can have with just playing around 😉 I hope you enjoyed my little experiment …

Vacation Mode with n*studio

Vacation mode with Nathalie Kalbach

Last month’s n*studio topic “Vacation Mode” got me thinking. It’s been a while since I have been on a vacation and there is none in sight either. So, I decided for myself that if you can’t go on vacation, shopping is the next best thing. And trust me, I am good at that 😉 I was at one of the big box stores the other day and couldn’t pass the paint and paper aisles without grabbing a few items. To make sure that they don’t end up in a drawer unused, I incorporated them in my new art journal page. …

She wears her smile as a disguise – art journal page with Visible Image

She wears her smile as a disguise art journal page

Woohoo, I received a new package from Visible Image and just had to play with some of the new to me stamps. One of them was the she wears her smile as a disguise sentiment that just resonated with me. Those types of sayings allow me to get my creative thoughts flowing in a totally different way and usually I’m really surprised with the end result. Same here. That art journal page turned out very differently than I originally thought and I think it fits to that sentiment very well. First off, I created the background. This is actually a …

What is Earl Lube Paste? Test a new medium with me.

What is Earl Lube Paste? Test a new medium with me.

My favorite art supply store had it’s semi-annual art supply sale last weekend and of course I was there. Besides more paints (can you ever have enough?!) I also grabbed a bottle of Earl Lube Paste. It was not the first time I saw it in the store, but this time I recognized the samples next to it. They said that it can be used as a clear gesso, for decoupage and acrylic pouring. Could that be true? After I talked to the owner a little I thought I just have to try it – and here we are. I …

Catherine Pooler blog hop day 2 – squared foiling

Squared foiling with Catherine Pooler

It’s day two of the Catherine Pooler release blog hop. Have you seen all the amazing projects from day one yet? They are amazing! The second day doesn’t need to hide though 😉 My cards for today are a mix of elegance and grunge. I love working with stencils and the new one is awesome. That’s why I wanted to highlight the pattern. I decided to foil the pattern, so I spread the Transfer Gel through the stencil. The first one is covered entirely, the second one just a little bit, because I wanted to create a grungy foil look. …

Catherine Pooler Blog Hop Day 1 – Coloring with the Gel Press

Coloring with the Gel Press and Catherine Pooler

Woohoo! Welcome to the new Catherine Pooler release. Are you excited? I know I am 🙂 For day one of the blog hop I prepared two cards with color, mess and sparkle. I’m a huge fan of the calligraphy word dies, so I wanted to give them special attention. Every focal point needs a little bit of decoration and coloring with the Gel Press is a great option. I created a step-by-step tutorial video for you, so you can see how the cards came together. I had quite a few leftover prints, so I decided to whip up one more …
